Collector House – one of our all time favourite projects and a modern dream house. Some history on the project: the owner bought the house back in 2019, without having seen the inside. The previous owner was a hoarder and left behind 120 tonnes of rubbish, hence the name ‘Collector House’.
Lets get into this modern day dream house. It was designed and built by Ben Walker Architects & The Ideal Group. With all tiles, tap ware, baths and toilets provided by us! In the brief, it outlined all things bright with emphasis on natural light. Warmth was maintained through the space via the timber, brick and brass finishes.
Bathroom Details
For the bathroom designs, the client chose to carry out the same floor and wall tile throughout the home. The floor and wall tile was our stunning Retro Grigio tile, a range inspired by ‘Ceppo’ terrazzo style. With pebbles of varying shades and colours to create a pleasant three dimensional effect with a natural, yet contemporary look. Retro comes in three other matt shades Bianco, Beige and Antracite in a 300x600mm or 600x600mm.
Ben wanted each bathroom to have a different feature tile, but maintain the floor and tap ware colours through out. Resulting in bathrooms that can only be from our dreams. Bathroom number 1, used our Vintage Green Finger Tile as the feature, seamlessly adding texture and depth to the space. This tile also comes in the short kitkat version used here and a longer one (Vintage Long Green Finger Tile).
Next bathroom features our Rosado Tumbled Penny Round, which is a glorious pink marble. Check out our TikTok for a better tour of this pink paradise!
The final bathroom is a winner, featuring a marble subway in the same tone as the floor and wall tiles. Creating the illusion tat the space is much grander. With a free standing bath and hidden toilet/shower this bathroom screams luxury!
Client used Meir Tiger Bronze tap ware, a popular tap ware range for its unique and stand out look. All Meir items will be tagged in the ending paragraph.
